todays christmas cards are from oxfam, which for international readers is a uk charity (oxford famine) so every penny goes to good causes. instead of using acetate boxes all their cards this year are packaged in 50% recycled card, and the designs are also really trendy and contemporary.

World Record - World's heaviest man marries in Mexico

The world's heaviest man has married in a closed ceremony in Mexico. Manuel Uribe married his longtime girl friend Claudia Solis at a civil ceremony in Monterrey, Mexico. The marriage comes two years after Uribe, 43, went on a diet, since when he has lost about 250 kg (550 lbs) with the help of his future wife. Uribe has been unable to leave his bed since 2001 and uses a truck to get outdoors. The groom has vowed to stick to a new salad diet, promising to have just a bite of wedding cake for photos.

World Record - Longest golf cart

How long can a golf cart be? Guinness World Records adjudicator Angela Wu could tell you: The record for longest golf cart is 6.68 m (21 ft 11 in) bumper to bumper and was achieved by HSBC Champions. It was measured in Hong Kong, China, on 8 October 2008, and beat the previous record comfortably, which stood at 5.81 m (19 ft 1 in).

World Record - China's Dried Bean Curd

A 1.86-ton piece of dried bean curd in a southwest China town was included into Guinness World Records on Sunday.
The piece was 4.21 meters long, 4.2 meters wide and 9.5 centimeters high. It took dozens of workers from Guozhu Soybean Products Co., Ltd based in Nanxi County, Sichuan Province about 30 hours to complete the piece.
